Case Notes
This case involves a 45-year-old female patient who underwent an abdominoplasty with muscle repair, five months post-operation. She had previously lost 150 pounds following bariatric surgery and presented with a prior midline abdominal scar. This midline scar made the surgery particularly challenging, and also made her a candidate for a fleur-de-list pattern tummy tuck, but she didn't need it!The before-and-after photos illustrate the surgical correction of excess abdominal skin and tightening of the abdominal muscles. Post-operatively, there is a notable reduction in the abdominal contour, with the removal of redundant skin and improved alignment of the abdominal wall. The existing midline scar appears well-incorporated into the new contour. This procedure was tailored to address specific anatomical considerations due to significant weight loss and previous surgical history.
