Case Notes
This case involves a 32-year-old female patient who underwent bilateral breast augmentation. She has breastfed more than three children and was left with minimal sag and only a few stretch marks on her breasts. She was hoping to have an improvement in volume to her breasts (and how she fills out her clothes), more like when she was breastfeeding. She consulted with Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Matthew Isakson who recommended a breast augmentation without mastopexy. The procedure utilized smooth round cohesive gel silicone implants, supplied by Allergan. These implants were placed submuscularly through inframammary fold (IMF) incisions. The post-operative photos taken three months after the procedure show the outcomes of the surgery. The images display an increase in breast volume and enhanced breast contour. The positioning of the implants has contributed to a natural appearance relative to her body proportions. The surgical incisions appear well-healed with effectively no visible scarring. Overall, the anatomical changes are consistent with the expected outcomes of this type of aesthetic procedure, reflecting the technical goals achieved by using the described surgical technique and implant specifications.
