Case Notes
This case involves a 42-year-old female who underwent a mommy makeover, consisting of a tummy tuck and breast augmentation with lift. After 2 children and a weight loss of over 120 pounds she called board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Matthew Isakson. They discussed options to treat her concerns - she wanted an improvement in breast shape and volume (and would like that bra skin/fat gone too, please) as well as a tighter tummy. She wanted to be able to possibly wear a bikini again so she didn't want a fleur-de-lis pattern tummy tuck - the vertical scar would have been too much. This means while she has no extra skin vertically (up and down), she has some subtle horizontal (side to side) skin excess which is barely noticeable. The patient's pre-operative condition displayed significant abdominal skin excess and ptosis of the breasts. The procedures performed included an abdominoplasty with rectus plication and umbilical transposition, alongside bilateral submuscular breast augmentation using cohesive gel implants and an extended bilateral mastopexy. Four months post-operation, the images reveal a reduction in abdominal protrusion and enhanced contouring of the waist and flanks. The breasts show improved elevation and shape, with the nipples positioned more centrally on each breast mound. These changes are consistent with the expected outcomes following the described surgical interventions.
