Case Notes
This case involves a female patient who underwent bilateral breast augmentation using Allergan cohesive gel implants. The implants were placed submuscularly via inframammary incisions. This technique was selected to position the silicone implants beneath the muscle without incorporating a lift, as per the patient's decision. The before image displays the patient’s pre-operative anatomy, characterized by smaller breast volume and natural contours. Six months post-procedure, the after image reveals increased breast volume and altered contouring, reflecting the implant placement and specifications. The surgical approach aimed to achieve a specific aesthetic goal while respecting the patient's anatomical framework. The images give a good example of the limitations of a breast augmentation alone - Dr. Isakson had no control over nipple position or the lower pole of the breast, but now the patient has a natural look without visible scars on her breasts.
