Case Notes
This case features a 44-year-old female patient who underwent a series of surgical procedures tailored to address specific aesthetic concerns. She had a breast reduction in the past and was left with difficult healing and scars that were not satisfactory to her - she tried a breast augmentation but got capsular contracture instead of the look she was going for. She came to dr. Isakson with significant breast asymmetry from capsular contracture, overlying breast sag (or ptosis) and extra skin on her tummy from having two children. Dr. Isakson suggested a mommy makeover, which included a tummy tuck with muscle repair and liposuction targeting the abdomen, flanks, waist, and hips. Additionally, the patient received a bilateral implant exchange combined with a total periprosthetic capsulectomy on the left side to address capsular contracture. A bilateral secondary extended breast lift was also performed to refine the contour of the breast and surrounding areas. You can see a well healed scar that courses in the bra line instead of a roll of skin and fat that bulges out of a bra band. Four months post-operatively, the images display notable changes in body contour. The abdomen appears flatter and more toned due to muscle repair and removal of excess skin and fat. The breasts show improved positioning and shape following the lift and implant exchange. Check out how natural her bellybutton looks! She loves her new swimsuit collection (and showing it off)...
