Case Notes
This case involves a 45-year-old female patient who underwent bilateral breast implant removal followed by a breast lift using the anchor technique. This patient came to Dr. Isakson after losing almost 150 pounds in 3 years. Before she had lost weight she had a previous breast lift and augmentation that became less and less satisfying with weight loss. Her before photos illustrate some of the changes that can occur with time, gravity, and with a "waterfall" or "snoopy-dog" deformity of her natural skin and breast tissue over the top of her implant mounds. Four months post-operatively, the after image reveals the outcomes of the procedures. The removal of implants has resulted in a reduction in breast volume, while the lift has elevated and reshaped the breast tissue. The surgical scars are visible around the areola, vertically down to the breast crease, and along the inframammary fold, typical of the anchor lift technique. This approach addresses both excess skin and sagging, aiming for improved contour while maintaining natural proportions. You can see a natural upper pole contour (cleavage) while still getting a nice perky and symmetric appearance. She loves the new look!
