Case Notes
This case involves a 54-year-old female patient who underwent a breast lift and reduction procedure using the anchor scar technique (aka Wise-patern). The pre-operative bra size was C, and the post-operative bra size is B. She felt her breasts were too large and pendulous, and rubbed against her tummy in an irritating way. She wanted much smaller and perkier breasts, so she consulted with Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Matthew Isakson. They decided a small reduction or breast lift with some liposuction would help achieve her goals. Notable changes include an elevation of the breast position on the chest wall and a reduction in overall breast volume. The nipple-areola complexes have been repositioned to a more central location on each breast, contributing to an improved aesthetic alignment. The surgical scars are typically located around the areola, vertically down from the areola to the breast crease, and along the inframammary fold, which is expected with this technique.
