Case Notes
This case involves a 42-year-old female who underwent a mommy makeover, consisting of a bilateral small volume breast reduction and lift using the anchor technique, along with a tummy tuck that included muscle tightening, umbilical transposition, and liposuction. After three kids she worked her butt off (almost literally!) to lose about 30 pounds and get to right around her goal weight. She saw Dr. Isakson to see what it would take to get a pre-kids body back, and to see if there was anything that could be done to improve her "big boob" symptoms. She felt her breasts were too large and actually cause her pain! Dr. Isakson recommended a small volume breast reduction, removing 250-350 grams per breast to improve her symptoms, make her breasts more symmetrical, perky and a better match to the rest of her body. She lost almost 7 pounds of extra skin and fat just from the lower tummy, not including liposuction! The post-operative results, observed at six months, show a notable reduction in breast size and an enhanced contour with elevated positioning. The abdominal profile is visibly improved, demonstrating a flatter and more toned appearance with reduced skin laxity. The surgical procedures aimed to address excess tissue and skin resulting from physical changes likely associated with a combination of time, childbirth and weight fluctuations.
