Case Notes
This case involves a 39-year-old female who underwent a tummy tuck combined with liposuction of the flanks and hip rolls, as well as diastasis recti repair and umbilical transposition to create a naturally appearing belly button. After breast feeding for over 4 years combined, her body had gone through some changes. She had concerns about her breasts and her tummy, but wanted to have the shortest and most reliable recovery she could. She decided to tackle her tummy concerns first. After talking with board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Matthew Isakson, she decided a tummy tuck with liposuction and muscle repair would be her first step. The post-operative images, taken four months after the procedure, display a more contoured abdominal profile. The surgical technique employed has resulted in the reduction of excess abdominal skin and fat, and the restoration of firmer abdominal muscles. These changes are evident when comparing the pre-operative and post-operative photographs. She was back at work and the gym feeling stronger than ever after having her muscles repaired. She loves her new belly button!
